Winter is the time to bring light and colour back into your home.
This clementine is the perfect year-round small wall art for your kitchen or dining room. It also serves as a gentle reminder of brighter days during dark winter nights.
The decoration is inspired by pomanders. I used to work as a set decorator for Hallmark Christmas movies. We would shoot the films in July, and the scent of cloves, cinnamon, and dried oranges became such an integral part of Christmas for me. It was a truly sustainable and beautiful way to decorate garlands.
We used them on every set, and the most wonderful thing was that the cast and crew loved it. The aroma would transport everyone straight back to the Christmases of their childhood. I hope this sustainable orange tree hanging ornament does the same for you.
It also brings back memories of the candy fruits I used to make with my grandmother to decorate our traditional English Christmas cakes.
You can also use this orange tree decoration to embellish your winter garlands, festive cakes, Christmas wreaths, or as a simple door or wall hanger.

Gouache is pronounced “goo wash” and rhymes with squash. This paint has a long history once made with honey or tragacanth gum as binder, for Ancient Egyptian Painting, European illuminated manuscripts and Persian miniature .
Modern Gouache originates in eighteenth century France where a Larger percentage of binder were used, to enhance the opacity.
What is so special about gouache?
The beauty of Gouache is that it forms a luxurious thicker layer of paint on the paper surface and does not allow the paper to show through.
Jemma Art original artworks are created using a combination of high quality materials M.Graham & co. Artists Gouache, Holbein acrylic goulash. and Arches hot press pure cotton paper.
"Do whatever you please, follow your own star; be original if you want to be and don’t if you don’t want to be. Just be natural and gay and light-hearted and pretty and simple and overflowing and general and baroque and bare and austere and stylised and wild and daring and conservative, and learn and learn and learn. Open your mind to every form of beauty."
